Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TwinLens ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

TwinLens is a free, browser-based tool for comparing images and videos side by side. The Service includes local comparison features and optional sharing functionality.

3. User Accounts

Some features (such as indefinite share links) require creating an account via Auth0. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Upload or share content that is illegal, harmful, abusive, or violates the rights of others
Use the Service to distribute malware or engage in phishing
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
Use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service
Share content that infringes on intellectual property rights

5. Content and Ownership

You retain all rights to images and videos you upload. By using the share feature, you grant TwinLens a limited license to store and serve your content for the duration of the share link. Local comparisons (without sharing) never leave your browser.

6. Share Links

Two-week links expire automatically after 14 days and all associated files are deleted.
Indefinite links remain active until you delete them from your profile. Accounts are limited to 50 indefinite links (excluding URL-sourced shares).
TwinLens reserves the right to remove any shared content that violates these terms.

7. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. TwinLens does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We are not responsible for any loss of data or content.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TwinLens and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

10. Modifications

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. Material changes will be indicated by updating the effective date above.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, for any reason, including violation of these terms. Upon termination, your shared content may be deleted.
